Footwear retailer: 16.6× return on Google Ads after a Shopping feed rebuild
A footwear retailer came to us with Google Ads campaigns that were underperforming because the Shopping feed was never set up properly. We rebuilt the feed, added display remarketing and Performance Max, and tested the checkout. The account now returns $16.65 in sales for every $1 spent.

The brief
A footwear retailer had Google Ads running but little traffic and a poor return. The cause was upstream of the campaigns: the Google Shopping feed was incomplete, so the products barely showed.
What we did
- Created and refined the Shopping feed so every product had the titles, attributes and images Google needs to serve it.
- Introduced display remarketing to bring back visitors who had browsed without buying.
- Launched Performance Max campaigns with defined audiences, which lifted conversion value by 200%.
- A/B tested the checkout flow, site speed and on-page content to raise conversion rate and protect ROAS as spend grew.
Results
$166K in tracked sales from $9.97K of spend, a conversion value to cost ratio of 16.65, across 19.6K clicks.
Why it worked
- Fixing the feed came before touching bids; nothing else works until products are eligible to show.
- Remarketing and Performance Max added volume without diluting the return.
- Conversion-rate tests on the store made every click worth more.
